Take this half a day Segway tour to visit the entire center of Rome. After a short training session at our office on Piazza Mattei, we glide over to the archaeological area of Largo Argentina, where you will see the remains of four temple of ancient Rome, dating back to the Republican era. Then we head for Rome’s best preserved monuments, the temple devoted to all the gods – the Pantheon. After a stop at the beautiful baroque square of Piazza Navona, this Segway tour of Rome takes to one of the most stunning building in the city, “The Mausoleum of Hadrian” usually known as Castel Sant’Angelo. We cross the river and enjoy a beautiful view of St. Peter’s Basilica (The Vatican City). We the proceed towards Augustus’ Altar of peace, the Ara Pacis, and ride down Via del Corso to arrive to Piazza del Popolo, the main gate of ancient Rome. We reach the Spanish Steps alongside some picturesque alleys, then our afternoon Segway tour goes to the famous Trevi Fountain, where you could throw a coin into the bright water. Afterwards we reach the monumental Piazza Venezia and Capitoline Hill. We then glide alongside the Roman Forum in direction of the Coliseum. After riding around the old stadium used for gladiator fights, we advance to Circus Maximus and then have a look at the “Mouth of Truth”, an old Roman sculpture once thought to be a lie detector, and worldwide known thanks to the movie Roman Holidays. We finally glide through the charming Jewish Quarter to conclude the tour and return to the office.
