This Jubilee private tour in Golf Cart of Rome allows you to see some of Rome’s legendary places where the life of Saint Peter happened. Moreover, you’ll be hitting the some less known churches, to discover more about the early Christian communities.

Our Jubilee tour in golf cart departs at 9:50am at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, located in the Monti District. From there, a short ride takes you to the Church San Pietro in vincoli (Saint Peter in Chains) where you will see, among other things, Michelangelo’s imposing Moses. In this church you will begin your approach with the Jubilee by admiring the chains that bound st. Peter’s wrists.

Continuing our Jubilee tour, our Golf Cart will take you to the church Santo Stefano Rotondo, one of the oldest in Rome. Santo Stefano Rotondo (‘round shape’) owns its name to the peculiar shape is was built in, with the altar located in the middle of the church and surrounded by columns. The most important masterpiece inside the church is the series of 34 frescoes dedicated to the martyrdom of various saints.

The next stop on our Jubilee tour in Golf cart will take you to the church Domine quo vadis, built on the spot where, according to the legend, St Peter, who was fleeing Rome to avoid crucifixion, met Jesus and asked him ‘Lord, where are you going?’ (hence the name of the church). A rock is kept in the church that allegedly bears the footprints of Jesus.

The last stop of our Golf Cart tour is the catacombs San Sebastiano (Saint Sebastian), where you can truly experience the spirit of the Jubilee. Already used as a pagan burial site, the Catacombs of St Sebastian were transformed into a Christian necropolis towards the end of the 2nd Century, dedicated to St Peter and St Paul. Your guide will drop you off at the entrance and you’ll visit the site on a tour (not private but small group) led by guide provided by the catacombs.

This Jubilee tour in Golf Cart ends in the historical center, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or anywhere else you like.
