The meeting point with your tour guide is at the exit of the metro station OTTAVIANO (A line), a stone’s throw from the Vatican City. You start off your journey into sweetness at the bakery La Dolce Maniera, where you can have a foamy cappuccino, together with a lovely Maritozzo con la Panna (a pastry roll filled with whipped cream). There you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the traditional “polpetta di lesso”, a delicious beef patty, long cooked and then deep fried. As an alternative, you can have a rich sandwich or – if it’s pasta that floats your boat – then go for the most typical Roman pasta at the next stand!
