The meeting point of the morning tour is by the Sixtus Bridge, a key connection between the two banks of the river. From there, a very short walk will take you to Nonna Vincenza, a traditional cafe to start off your day with a typical breakfast: cappuccino and pastry, filled with cream or ricotta cheese.
Then, you get to the vibrant street market in Campo de’ Fiori, to snack on bread topped with different sauces, and dive into the lively ambience the place has to offer. After that, we make our way to the old Jewish Quarter, to have a really unique specialty: the carciofo alla giudia, a deep fried artichoke made only here in Rome.
This private food tour of Rome continues on towards Piazza Navona, stopping at a local deli for a plate of assorted cold cuts and cheeses, and ends at the Pantheon, with a juicy supplì, a ball of rice breaded and fried.
The afternoon tour starts at Piazza Mattei instead, and its first stop is the Jewish Quarter, to try the carciofo alla giudia, a deep fried artichoke which is traditional in Rome. From there, we walk towards the Pantheon, and have a slice of piazza on the way, then stop at a local deli for an plate of assorted cold cuts and cheeses.
After that, you’ll enjoy a juicy supplì nearby and get to Piazza Navona, to sit in a fine restaurant and enjoy a 3-course dinner: starter, flute of prosecco, two pasta dishes, coffee. This is where the tour ends
