Tour details

Embark on this private Golf Cart tour of Rome with guided visit to the Capitoline Museums, sightsee some of Rome’s best attractions and marvel at the exhibits housed in the Capitoline Museums, coming from archeological sites of the Eternal City itself.

Pickup then off to Navona and Pantheon

Get picked up at your accommodation, as long as it is in the historical district, and set off to discover Rome’s key sites on this private tour of Rome in golf cart with guided visit to the Capitoline Museums. Start off visiting with the Baroque heart of the Eternal City, namely Piazza Navona, with its peculiar mix of classy buildings and a buzzing atmosphere, featuring the stunning Fountain of the four Rivers made by Bernini in the 17th Century.

After that, the private tour of Rome in Golf Cart stops at the Pantheon, the best preserved of all Roman monuments. Oldest place of worship still in use, the Pantheon dates back to the 2nd Century A.D. and was the temple to all the gods of Rome.

Colosseum and Ancient Rome

Then, we’ll head for the Colosseum, most known site of the Eternal City. You will be able to enjoy a great view of the monument and learn its history, how it was built and what kind of shows ran there. After that, comes the Circus Maximus – the gigantic stadium for the chariot races – and the Palatine Hill, the legendary place of foundation of Rome itself, which was later chosen by several emperors for their palaces to be built.

The next stops are at the Mouth of Truth, to discover the story behind it, and at the Forum Boarium. It was the cattle market in Ancient Rome, and features two exceptionally preserved temples: Hercules’ and Portunus’, besides a marble arch that was the entry gate to the market.

Guided visit of the Capitoline Museums

This private tour of Rome in golf cart then gets you to the Capitoline Hill, where you will be met by your guide and visit with them the Capitoline Museums. Mainly dedicated to the art and history of ancient Rome, especially Roman sculpture, the Capitoline Museums was established in 1471 by Pope Sixtus IV, who donated to the people of Rome a collection of ancient bronzes from the Lateran.

It became open to the public in 1734, and this makes it the earliest museum in the world accessible to all citizens. The collection include – among others – iconic works such as the Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius, the Capitoline Wolf (5th Century B.C.) and the Dying Gaul.

On the way to the Trevi Fountain

After finishing the visit of the Museums, our journey through Rome by Golf Cart resumes with a drive by through Piazza Venezia, to reach the famous Trevi Fountain. Arguably the most photographed fountain on earth, the Trevi fountain is the lifework of Nicola Salvi, it was finished in the 2nd half of the 18th Century and it’s still supplied nowadays by a Roman aqueduct. Don’t miss out on the opportunity of throwing a coin into the water to ensure your comeback to Rome.

Spanish Steps and drop off

This golf cart of Rome with guided visit to the Capitoline Museums isn’t finished yet, as after the Trevi Fountain the Spanish Steps come next. Inaugurated in the 18th Century, the Steps connect the square with the top of a hill, where stands the Church of Santa Trinità dei Monti, and it’s a brilliant example of urban renovation that merges beauty and functionality.

After soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the place, also heart of the shopping district, with many luxury boutiques lined up, we will drop you off at your accommodation, or wherever you’d like in the historical centre.

Pick-up and drop-off service available only in the city centre.

With 6 to 8 people, the tour will run on two golf carts. With 9 to 10 people, we may run the tour on two or three golf carts.

All our golf carts are equipped with rain cover.
