Rome in a day with lunch

This half-day tour of Rome by Golf Cart lets you see all of Rome’s attractions, with your lunch already sorted out and paid for.

This private half-day Golf Cart tour of Rome starts at your hotel – as long as it is located in the city centre. After you’ve met your tour guide, we start zipping through Ancient Rome’s highlights, with the most known sites of the Eternal City: we reach the Colosseum, then proceed further to the massive remains of the Baths of Caracalla, and eventually stop at Circus Maximus for an astonishing view of the imperial palaces on the Palatine Hill.

From a great view to another, we get to the Aventine Hill, one of the legendary Seven Hills of Rome, to walk into the Orange Garden, which offers the perfect lookout to enjoy the city from above.

From there, we whiz to Piazza Venezia, featuring the impressive Vittoriano, toss a coin into the water and the famous Trevi Fountain, and hit the jewel of baroque: Piazza Navona, with the stunning Fountain of the four Rivers realised by Bernini.

At about 12.30pm your tour guide will take you to the restaurant you’ve chosen for lunch: a typical Italian restaurant, for a traditional style lunch, or a Michelin starred restaurant, for an incredible food experience. Please note that the Michelin starred restaurant is available only from Monday to Saturday.

This half-a-day private Golf Cart tour of Rome then resumes around 1.30pm, to cover the other attractions you will have missed so far: the Vatican City, to admire the Saint Peter’s Basilica and the square it stands on, and the Castle of Saint Angelo, a majestic building with over 19 hundred years of history, towering right next to the river.

Pick-up and drop-off service available only in the city centre.

Reduced price for groups of three participants or more. With 4 to 6 people, the tour runs on two Golf Carts. With 7 to 9 people, the tour runs on three Golf Carts.

All our golf carts are equipped with rain cover.

Rome food tour in Golf Cart

This Rome food tour in Golf Cart will make you enjoy delicious food while you discover famous landmarks, learning interesting stories about the Eternal City. Thanks to the Golf Cart, we’ll be able to cover way more ground than on a walking tour, exploring off the beaten track areas and get a real feel for the city.

This food tour of Rome by Golf Cart features two departure times, one in the morning and the other in the late afternoon, for you to choose between two itineraries. It stops at several places where you can taste traditional delicacies, savoury and sweet, and soak into the most authentic atmosphere of the least touristy districts in Rome.

The morning tour starts off with cappuccino e cornetto – what else? The typical breakfast every Italian has at their favourite local cafe. After some sightseeing, hitting famous highlights such as the Colosseum or the Trevi Fountain among others, we cross the river to explore Trastevere, and get a slice of fabulous pizza bianca, stuffed with mortadella or prosciutto or anything you’re down for.

Then, we’ll get to Testaccio, to visit the vibrant market that takes place every day – from Monday through Saturday. There you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the traditional “polpetta di lesso”, a delicious beef patty, long cooked and then deep fried. As an alternative, you can have a rich sandwich or – if it’s pasta that floats your boat – then go for the most typical Roman pasta at the next stand! After that, our Rome food tour in Golf Cart zips through other famous sites to get to its due end: an amazing gelato on one of the most beautiful squares of Rome, featuring the renowned Turtle Fountain.

The afternoon tour begins with some sightseeing and reach Trastevere for a Trapizzino, the unique sandwich you can taste only in Rome: a triangle of pizza bianca stuffed with some traditional food of your choice. From there, we get back to the historical center to see Piazza Navona and stop for salumi e formaggi, a cold cut tasting you can enjoy in a cosy shop round the corner, while sipping a glass of the wine of your choice.

Then, we take the quaint alleys near Campo de Fiori to taste of the most famous Roman specialties, “filetto di baccalà”, a battered, deep-fried piece of cod fish. For those who don’t like fish, there’s the possibility to substitute it with the famous “Carciofo alla giudia”, a deep-fried artichoke.

Before ending this food tour of Rome in Golf cart, we’ll hit some other attractions and finally head for Piazza Mattei, next to the old Jewish Ghetto, where you’ll get the best gelato ever!

Pick-up and drop-off service available only in the city centre.

Reduced price for groups of three participants or more. With 4 to 6 people, the tour runs on two Golf Carts. With 7 to 9 people, the tour runs on three Golf Carts.
