Pickup, Castle, Saint Peter’s

Once the tour guide has picked you up at your accommodation in the city centre, this Rome by Night private tour begins. We will hit Rome’s top night attractions, among which is the Castle Sant’Angelo, on the right bank of the Tiber, amazingly floodlit after sunset.

Originally built as the mausoleum of the emperor Hadrian, the building had different functions over the centuries: fortress, prison, papal residence, even a firefighters barrack. From there, we reach the Vatican City for a quick visit (only the square and the Saint Peter’s Basilica from outside) to the smallest country in the world.

Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps

Then, our night golf cart tour of Rome continues on to the famous Trevi Fountain. Arguably the most photographed fountain on earth, the Trevi fountain is the lifework of Nicola Salvi, it was finished in the 2nd half of the 18th Century and it’s still supplied nowadays by a Roman aqueduct. Don’t miss out on the opportunity of throwing a coin into the water to ensure your comeback to Rome.

The next stop of the trip is the Spanish Steps, the fanciest area in Rome, with its luxury boutiques and a glamour atmosphere. The steps, realised by architect Francesco De Sanctis and inaugurated in 1725, connect the square to the top of the hill.

Piazza Navona and Pantheon

After that, we go to Piazza Navona, a charming square with a unique shape, the origin of which you will learn on this night golf cart tour of Rome. The square houses what is considered Bernini’s masterpiece, the Fountain of the Four Rivers, dating back to the 17th Century.

Then, we stop at the Pantheon, the best preserved of all buildings from Ancient Rome. Erected in the 2nd Century A.D., to replace an older temple, it used to be the temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome. Turned into a church in 608 A.D., it’s the oldest place of worship in use, as holy mass still takes place here.

Your experience includes pre-reserved entry tickets with priority seating (subject to availability) and dinner with an alcoholic drink. You will have the opportunity to relax, enjoy the music while having dinner, and continue your evening immersed in Rome’s cultural scene.
